The first section, by Ingrid Rundberg and Iida Kaisa Urm, takes on the idea of “The Author” and its tropes in a book. They used various kinds of online generators to fabricate their book. The title is stolen. The layout is made from a template as is the cover. Chapter titles, contents, character names, graphics and more all came from different generators meant specifically for these purposes. When Roland Barthes articulated the death of the author a long time ago, he could not have predicted its reappearance in the undead desires of the always-on internet and its machines for generating infinite (empty) content.
